Who am I?

I am the founding President of Hildegard College in California: https://www.hildegard.college/

Hildegard is a new Christian liberal arts college of entrepreneurship.

We started a new college because we believe that our entrepreneurially minded young adults need a new kind of education, one that is founded in the Great Works of western civilization but also fueled by the creativity and hands-on work of entrepreneurship.

My academic background is as a literature professor. I’ve written books on Shakespeare, and medieval and renaissance literature and drama. But I left conventional higher ed behind and now devote my time to thinking not about the “higher ed industry” but to what we can do for the next generation of thought leaders in business, religion, and civic discourse.
